We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a leading Aboriginal Medical Service near Port Hedland, WA. As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver advanced, holistic care. With a strong focus on chronic disease management, you’ll provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support to patients and families, while also playing a key leadership role within the clinical team. This position is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about community health, committed to closing the gap in Aboriginal health outcomes, and looking for a role where your expertise will be truly valued. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced and autonomous patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing medications Order and interpret pathology and radiology tests, and make referrals to other health professionals as required Lead and support the clinical team, promoting evidence-based practice and developing guidelines where needed Collaborate closely with GPs, allied health, and visiting specialists to ensure seamless patient care Contribute to chronic disease programs, particularly in the management of kidney, heart, and liver conditions Maintain compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and quality improvement frameworks What You’ll Bring Current AHPRA Nurse Practitioner registration Demonstrated competence across the full scope of NP practice Strong clinical leadership and communication skills Commitment to culturally safe care and improving Aboriginal health outcomes Current driver’s licence, CPR certification, and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance & WWCC COVID-19 vaccination (triple dose, in line with WA Health mandate) The Benefits $134,000 – $137,000 allowances (housing & district allowances subject to eligibility) 12% Superannuation Salary packaging options to maximise your take-home pay Full-time hours with ongoing professional development opportunities Supportive and purpose-driven workplace culture Sound like you?
